Here's a shout out for Duke's Tailor, which is offering free alterations for unemployed workers looking for a job.

If you can show proof that you have been unemployed for at least three months and show proof that you have a job interview arranged, Duke's will do free alterations on one pair of pants, one coat OR one business suit.

Anna Shepard, whose family runs the 20-year-old business, said they wanted to help the thousands of workers who are struggling to find jobs and get work. So far the company has only done about 10 free alterations, but "one man called me up and said he got the job," she said. "And I told him, when you have a job then you buy more suits and you bring them back to us, and he did."

The offer is good one time only per person through June at both Duke's locations -- 4701 Creedmoor Road in Raleigh (near the old Circuit City) and 3750 NW Cary Parkway in Cary.
